Founder/Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Keena N. Allen, Psy.D.
Dr. Allen is a licensed child and adult clinical psychologist and founder of Allied Behavioral Healthcare. From hospitals, outpatient community health centers, school settings and group practice, Dr. Allen has expert training in the treatment of adults and children with complex presentations, including concerns related to early attachment disruption and its impact on relationship functioning, intimate partner violence, ADHD and executive dysfunction, anxiety and depression, traumatic loss, grief and life-stage transition related issues.
A former developmental specialist, she is among the few professional psychologists addressing the unique needs of children aged 0-6 and their families. Dr. Allen’s approach is collaborative and client-centered informed by evidence-based methods in attachment theory, CBT, DBT, ACT, EXRP, IFS, traumatology, family systems, play therapy and behavior modification and training.
She is a graduate of William James College with a Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology. Dr. Allen currently maintains a split practice, in addition to leading Allied Behavioral Healthcare, treating both children and adults.

Antoanette Gonzales, LMHC
Antoanette Gonzales is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) specializing in behavioral health treatment for children, adolescents and adults. A graduate of the University of Central Florida, she has a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and brings a broad range of clinical experience to Allied Behavioral Healthcare.

With expertise in individual, family and couples therapy, Antoanette has a strong background in work with substance abuse, complex mental health symptoms and evidence-based treatments, including EMDR, CBT and DBT for adult and child/adolescent populations. Diverse clinical training through residential treatment programs, outpatient clinics, school and in-home settings has seasoned Antoanette in her work with clients managing new onset or chronic behavioral health challenges; including symptoms related to depression and anxiety, ADHD, social anxiety, relationship and behavioral issues and complex and acute trauma.

She is passionate about work with young adults, teenagers, LGBTQIA+ and other underserved populations and brings a warm and approachable therapeutic style to Allied Behavioral Healthcare.
Antoanette maintains a split practice with immediate availability for referrals; including adults and children/adolescents with in office and telehealth availability.

Postdoctoral Fellow
Maggie Hughes, Psy.D.
Dr. Hughes is a post-doctoral fellow with an extensive background in the treatment of child, adolescent, and adult mental health. She is a graduate of the University of Hartford with a Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology. Dr. Hughes completed her doctoral internship at SUNY Upstate University Hospital, with rotations in integrated primary care, child and adolescent inpatient psychiatric consultation, and neuropsychological and developmental assessment.
With over 10 years of experience in hospital, residential, college counseling, and community mental health settings, Dr. Hughes is adept at working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with a range of clinical presentations, including depression, ADHD, anxiety disorders, chronic illness and medical trauma. She specializes in the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, and grief and loss. Dr. Hughes brings specialized training to Allied Behavioral Healthcare with expertise in several evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Informed-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and the Unified Protocol (UP) for the transdiagnostic treatment of mood disorders. She provides a safe and welcoming environment, holding space for all clients to explore their emotions, relationships, and behaviors. Dr. Hughes focuses both on the value of specific treatment interventions to reduce symptoms, but her work is driven by the impact of therapeutic connection, understanding how difficult it can be to ask for help. She strives to support clients as they develop greater insight into the root of their challenges, learn to implement new ways of coping and set goals for a better path forward.
Dr. Hughes maintains a split practice, treating both children and adults in-person and through teletherapy. She has immediate openings for clients with BCBS, Tufts Commercial, Optum, Aetna and Harvard Pilgrim health plans.

Postdoctoral Fellow
Leslie Snapper, Ph.D.
Dr. Leslie Snapper is a postdoctoral fellow specializing in the intersection of physical and mental health. She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Health Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and completed her doctoral internship at The University of Vermont Medical Center, where she worked as part of the medical psychology consult/liaison team supporting medically hospitalized patients.
Dr. Snapper brings extensive experience working in medical settings and providing care for adults across the lifespan. She has expertise in helping a wide age range of clients navigate challenges related to acute and chronic health conditions, sleep disturbances, cancer diagnoses, grief and loss, and identity transitions. Additionally, she is skilled in addressing a broad range of mental health concerns for teens, young adult and adult populations, including depression, anxiety, ADHD and trauma, while fostering a culturally responsive and inclusive environment.
Her therapeutic approach is warm and collaborative, integrating evidence-based practices such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Interpersonal Process Therapy (IPT). She also incorporates CBT, DBT, IFS, Liberation Psychology, and somatic interventions to tailor care to each client’s unique needs. Dr. Snapper prioritizes building a compassionate and collaborative therapeutic relationship, supporting clients in developing greater authenticity, resilience, and connection. She is particularly passionate about working with LGBTQ+ individuals and strives to create a safe, affirming, and empowering space for all. She is dedicated to helping clients navigate life’s complexities while fostering meaningful relationships with themselves and others.

Postdoctoral Clinical Fellow
Rachel Walsh, MA (Psy.D)
Rachel Walsh, MA (Psy.D) is a dedicated Postdoctoral clinical psychology fellow with a strong foundation in conceptualizing and treating a wide range of psychological challenges. Holding dual Master’s degrees in General Psychology and Professional Psychology, Rachel is a graduate of William James College in Newton, MA and will complete her doctoral degree in clinical psychology in June 2025.
With extensive experience across various mental health settings - including inpatient hospitals, residential facilities, schools and outpatient community mental health centers—Rachel has developed a robust skill set providing evidence-based therapeutic treatment. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-focused interventions such as TF-CBT and the ARC framework, play therapy, and psychodynamic approaches.
Rachel’s clinical experience encompasses work with diverse populations facing conditions such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, neurodivergence, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), complex grief, ADHD and chronic illness/medical trauma. She is adept at addressing a wide array of clinical presentations, including executive functioning challenges, behavioral dysregulation, addictive behaviors, school refusal, anger management issues, attachment and relationship-based concerns, parenting challenges, and sleep concerns. Rachel is particularly passionate about work with underserved and marginalized groups, including those within the LGBTQIA+ community.
With unique experience working with those impacted by the psychological effects of chronic illness, she completed her master’s thesis on identity development patterns for adolescent and young adult cancer survivors and worked closely with families in the Good Grief program, offering support and consultation services for those who recently received a terminal diagnosis.
Passionate about strength-based treatments, Rachel emphasizes the importance of recognizing and harnessing each individual's unique experience and interests on their journey to healing and personal growth. Through her warm and compassionate approach, she aims to create a safe and supportive environment for her clients, working closely with them to gain insights, develop tangible skills and create positive change, no matter the difficulties they face.
